It has a very long time since I last posted pictures and I am going to try keep up going forward. These pictures were recently taken of little Kevin including some from his first birthday party. About seven of our Vietnamese friends came to our home for a great home cooked meal.

We have been home now for a while and believe it or not, we are getting a little sleep. The jaundice level has dropped and the doctor said he is as healthy as any baby he has ever

seen. Uyen's Aunt and Uncle visited us from San Jose and we had a wonderful time.

We spent Friday and Saturday in the hospital and now we are headed home. His Bilirubin levil is low enough for them to release us.

This little guy will do anything to get a sun tan! On Friday, his Biliruben level was very high, so we were instructed to check in to the childrens hospital in Tacoma to start a series of photo therapy. KT slept through the whole thing.

Last night was rough for Uyen, with swollen bladder pushing on the incision. The nurse took care of that and she's looking great.

Kevin is nursing very well. Check out the hair this kid has. We may have to see a stylist before we go home. I'm amazed at how alert he is. Always looking around and checking things out.

Every year around Christmas, my family gets together.
Finaly, Uyen get's a chance to get away from the cold! Here we are in Honolulu. She will give birth two months after our trip.

At our friend Bill's Home on Christmas Eve. Bill does a unbelievable job decorating inside and outside his home every year.

We are standing in front of a bldg. at Seattle Center where the Vietnamese New Year is being celebrated. You can see on the top of the building a number of yellow flags. They are the flags that South Vietnam flew before the take over.

A lot has happened since July !

Hi friends and family. It has been so long since I posted on this, that I may forget how to do it. It would be a understatement to say that we have been extremly busy. Uyen entered college to learn better English and is now at the top level. We got pregnant in July and she continued with classes until last month. I will share a number of pictures from last summer and of course, pictures of our new addition, little Kevin. Remember when viewing this, the most recent post is shown first. Well here we go.

Baseball, Bonsai, & Tall Ships

Over the last few weeks, we have attended a professional baseball game, cruised the Puget Sound to view the arrival of "Tall Ships", and visit a first class 'Bonsai" collection. Here are some pictures.

Most of the trees in the collection are close to 100 years old.
While we were at the Bonsai exhibit, we had a chance to watch people work on various pieces and learn a little about doing this at home. Bill gave Uyen her first Bonsai and it is thriving.

Sorry, it's been a while since the last post. Uyen has been busy studying English and is still swimming about four times a week. She no longer needs the "wings" to complete laps in the pool. These pictures were taken by Tagg's wife, Heather. She is an aspiring pro and we are confident she will succeed.

Sorry for taking so long to bring this blog up to date. The last three weeks have been filled with going to English classes, (four days a week), and making wedding arrangements. It looks like everything is ready to go and we are looking forward to what I'm sure will be a glorious day. We will post pictures of the event as soon as I can download them. Stay tuned.

Let it snow !

Today, we traveled up into the mountains to experience some beautiful snow scenes. The snow came down rather hard at times and then the sun would come out at other times. The amount of snow that is still on the ground this time of year is very unusual. This is Uyen's first experience with snow and she loved it.

This is the parking lot at the Brighton Ski Resort. The skiing would be great but it's closed for lack of interest. Empty ski lifts can be seen in the background.

Welcome to one of the worlds finest ski resorts. Snowbird was open today and the ski conditions looked great! Being here brought back some wonderful memories for me. I spent many hours on this mountain years ago.

I am amazed at how much Uyen enjoy's seeing new places and things. This is one of my favorite shots that was taken at the base of the mountain. Spring growth is showing.

Trip To Salt Lake City

My brother Rick is getting married on Thursday, so Uyen and I flew to Salt lake City on Wednesday. I plan to take her up to the mountains and show her all of the snow that the ski resorts have even this late in the season. Pictures will follow on the next post.

Welcome to our new Blog. As most of you know, we arrived in America on April 18 and I am sorry to take so long in starting this. We departed Vietnam with a temp. of around 100f and landed in Seattle with snow on the ground and a 37 degree temp. There was not much to take photo's of since everything was gray and pretty depressing. Uyen however, is adapting very well. She has a warm coat and boots to get around in. One of the first stops we made was to a local Asian grocery store to stock up on oll the needed staples like noodles, rice, chile's, squid, and other fishes. She has cooked a number of fantistic meals. I have cooked a few non-asian dinners like spaghetti and she took to that very well.

This blog is going to be a little different than the last one, because I hope to cater a little more of it to appeal to Uyen's family and friends in Vietnam. So, at times, you will see comments made by her in Vietnamese. I have enrolled her into the local community college for a exensive English course and while she comprehends the language pretty well, this will help alot. She loves to swim and I have set her up to join me at our local health club that we will visit about four times a week. I also plan to teach her to play golf, (see pics below).

My good friend, Bill Seeberger, recommended this grocery store.
